Australia Post Zing Banners

I scamped, designed and animated several banner concepts for Australia Post's new Zing campaign. It was crucial that the "Zing" ball was featured and animated in various ways to aid the messaging.

Blackberry Torch Banners

I scamped, designed and animated several banner concepts for Blackberry. The banner has been built as rich media with expandable tabs holding extra information. The animation packs in as much content as the file size allows with masked image transitions between screens.

Foxtel Banners

I scamped, designed and animated several banner concepts for Foxtel. The animation style is simple with a clear call to action end frame.

Loud Website

My brief was to design Loud's new company website. As an advertising agency you need a strong website to promote yourself so I needed to make the design very visual. Loud have thrown out their previous branding and hadn't established a new one yet, so with some newly selected fonts I'd designed them a new web identity. I've used new design techniques for this site with large graphics, textured backgrounds, and a strong yet simple colour palette letting the images sell the work without over-designing the site.

Sydney Olympic Park

This app was designed off the back of a pitch for the work and was done with no initial IA or content. I concepted the IA and designed as I went all with dummy data. The app provides users with interactive walking trails around Sydney Olympic Park, as well as places of interest nearby, events and travel to and from the Park.

Cancer Council NSW

Concepted a new Cancer Resource website for Cancer Council. The site has been designed with accessibility in mind, and has adhered to CCNSW's guidelines. The design is simple yet obvious using a few strong brand colours to give importance.

Sydney Morning Herald iPad app

After working on a variety of Fairfax mobile apps, I was asked to head up the design for the first ever bespoke iPad app for Fairfax's Masthead papers, The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age. The app is very clean, intuitive, and very original in its design from the competitors. I worked very closely with the IA on this project and managed the developers to ensure that the designs were translating correctly. This is the most important project I've ever worked on with great responsibility, and the reviews on the app store have been excellent. Website. iTunes.

Domain app for Windows Phone 7

The last Windows app was Domain which has had excellent reviews in the Windows marketplace for its clean design and usability.

Drive app for Windows Phone 7

Following the MyCareer app I worked on the Drive app, with the same design challenges below. The app is a new and fresh identity for the brand.

MyCareer app for Windows Phone 7

The next group of apps I did were for the newly released Windows Phone 7, again starting with MyCareer. Trying to keep the designs on brand whilst maintaining the native style of the Windows platform was interesting due to the new Panorama view layout of the screens. Since the phone was new there weren't many apps to take design cues from which proved to be a challenging creative job.

Domain app for Samsung Mobile

Following the previous 2 Samsung apps comes the last one, Domain. Using the same design features as the others it has proved very popular in the Samsung app marketplace with its clean design and excellent functionality.

Drive app for Samsung Mobile

Following the MyCareer app I worked on the Drive app, following the same design patterns as below. The app turned out very well with strong branding and good functionality.

The following are a series of apps I did for the Samsung Bada platform, starting with MyCareer. Trying to keep the designs on brand whilst maintaining the native style of the Samsung platform proved challenging due to various limitations with the Samsung Bada platform.

Australian Property Managers

Using some previous basic styles I re-designed the APM website with a fresh new look. It features easy to identify collapsible sub-navigation, different coloured main section tabs, and a customised google maps search feature.

Cap That!

Here are some concept designs for a homepage and contents page for Cap That. The website was designed for maximum accessibility checking the copy colour contrast The site is designed to look fun, fresh and easy to use.

Sky News

Keeping the Sky News blue heading, the rest of the site was custom designed to be crisp and modern. The homepage incorporates a rotating "Top News" panel at the top, while splitting the content into easily digestible sections.

Include a Charity

Concept designs for the new Include a Charity website. I kept the homepage and main content area large and colourful with big links and photos. Being for a charity the site had to be accessible with font size buttons and a high enough colour contrast.

Foxtel Seniors Card Package

With minimal branding I created a simple and easy read microsite for Foxtel targeting Pensioners. The site highlights channel packages and has prominent calls to action. Big text and simple pictures help with readability.

Variety Children’s Charity

I used my experience with creating good information architecture and altered the wireframes a little to come up with these concepts. They highlight the 4 key areas Variety want to focus on with some brightly coloured navigation. The site is easy to use and colourful, with clear actions and coloured sub navigation.

Nivea

Concepts for Australia's Next Top Models Section on Nivea's website. I decided to use the lightbulbs in the background as it depicted modelling, and kept some Nivea colour running through the designs as well.

Port Baku

The Port Baku site was poorly designed and didn't seem to follow any grid. I overhauled it from top to bottom, aligned the site, added functionality, pages, lightboxes and style. While at Sectorlight I also designed a homepage concept for St George PLC real estate, and re-designed the P&B cultural showcase site by expanding to fit a 1024x768 screen, adding hero image mouseover functionality and created a new grid.

Port of Dover

I was brought in to re-design the home page, navigation landing pages and style the content pages on the Port of Dover site. The original site had become very cluttered and needed a complete overhaul. I had some wireframes to work from though I updated them a little to fit my design. The site had to feel corporate with some colour which I achieved with a clean design using a nice Dover background image to give it some life and some nice big content images.

Sony - Believe in Superior Sound

My task was to animate or part animate 9 banners, some of which you can see here. The animation was mainly done on the timeline with some code to control the copy and timings. Unfortunately the final versions of the more complex video ads can only be run from the hosting server though I do have a stripped out example here. All standard banners were built to 40k too.

Triangle, the movie

At Green Room I created a flash landing page for a new movie "Triangle" which included a trailer as well as some pages for the film website.

Centre Point

The old Centre Point "sponsor a room" microsite was very basic looking and needed a facelift. Using only similar colours and assets I re-designed the site in a week to a fresh, simple and easy to use design.

Small Luxury Hotels of the World

I was brought in to re-design the main content pages on the SLH site. The original pages lacked structure and had been poorly managed in house. Some of the pages I re-designed are included here which include the home page and hotels pages. I really tried to unbox and unclutter the design and keep the content feeling open and spacious. I also re-designed the photo gallery's wireframe to what you can see here.

Sonny with a Chance

Sonny with a chance is a Disney TV show and iris had produced a lot of artwork for it already. I was brought in to animate some banners, create an marketing email, and design some homepage takeovers.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles

The Volkswagan Commercial Vehicles site needed some updates and I was brought in to do them. I created all new headers using new photography of the vehicles and re-designed a few other pages as well.

Shell Every Drop

This Shell project was a lot of fun. Over a few weeks I designed and animated several "every drop" campaign banners in multiple sizes, a few of which you can see here.

Alpen Online Ramble

I was brought in to design a pitch for Alpen with the idea being an Online Ramble. The microsite shows the user how to ramble through some pre-chosen sites on the web and when they run the ramble you can see the Aplen frame running on top of other sites. I also designed the logo and an AOL page.

Artemis Bond Fund Profits

I used a flat piece of artwork for Artemis' latest profit hunter campaign, seperated it into layers and made it move in these animated banners. I used an old template and changed it for these ads that needed to be integrated into Eyeblaster.

SMA Homepage concepts

These homepage concepts are ideas of how the hero area could be animated. I used some hand drawings as one route and some thinking blocks as another...

Tesco Compare

These are early state ideas but it shows 2 routes. A safe "Tesco" coloured route and another which is a bit sharper. Both styles come with a home page and a content page. I also scamped a lot of banners one of which is shown here.

1Click2Fame

I came into this project near the start so 95% of these designs I created. The problem with this project was there was no IA so I had to figure that out as I went as I was the sole designer and there was no time to get an IA in. It all went really well until the 1C2F got their own design team and changed it... C'est la vie here are my designs.

Cadbury’s musical gorilla and trucks

The Gorilla and trucks are teaming up and some extra work needed to be done. So I designed a marketing email and a couple of homepage takeovers for Myspace and MSN.

Pinutos

Pinutos is a recruitment solutions website that I designed several years ago for a friend of mine. I designed it from scratch and built it using php integrating it with a mysql vacancy database. The site unfortunately has now been taken down.

Ministry of Feel Good

I worked on a pitch for Feel Good Drinks called the Ministry of Feel good. My role was to create some pitch graphics which included some homepage takeovers and emails.

Nokia Environment

I concepted a few different ideas for Nokias Environment area on their Global site, one such flowery route can be seen here. The Environment Intranet also needed updating though I had to keep the framework and menus and design something that would fit in.

LoveFilm

In creating some new LoveFilm concepts I came up with a few versions. The first one here pushes the design far from the old site introducing a video trailer panel at the top, some easy "what is this site" buttons and it incorporates a homepage takeover scenario. The next version uses new colour and new elements but in a similar format to the old site and the last is a German version cleaned and updated.

Metrotwin

Previously called Nylon, I was involved concepting for this project from the start. The idea is the match places in New York and in London for people who frequent both cities. Here you can see various pages with different designs, headers and logos.

Virgin Limited Edition

The Virgin Limited Edition brand has many resorts in its portfolio, each with its own website sitting under VLE. I re-skinned some pages from an old design for one resort which would then be rolled out to all the others. Here are a few such pages.

Direct Line

I was brought in to update some graphics on the Direct Line website. This included the home page and most content pages where I also animated some headers.

Reuters

I worked on a lot of areas of the Global Reuters site whilst I was there but the Customer Zone was the most fun. As you can see here with the home page and Golf Challenge pages the design is interesting yet in keeping with Reuters brand.

Virgin Holidays

I came up with 3 very creative designs for a new Virgin Holidays email campaign. One safe red route and 2 that push the design further with the last my favourite, the fridge.
